Overview Run Huskisson is one of Australia’s largest coastal running festivals, bringing 9,500 runners to the seaside town of Huskisson on the NSW South Coast. More than a decade running, it sells out fast. It offers five distances in a single day: a full marathon, a half marathon, 10km, 5km and a 2.5km fun run. Every course runs along the crystal-clear water of Jervis Bay, a marine park two and a half hours from both Sydney and Canberra. On site Race pack pickup runs from the registration marquee on Owen St. Runners start on Hawke St and finish in White Sands Park on the edge of the bay. The finish area is the heart of the day, with presentations and the event village. It stays busy from the first half marathon finishers in the early morning through to the fun run in the afternoon. Most runners travel in and make a full weekend of it, so the town is packed with runners, families and supporters. Audience The field is young, active and evenly split, with 52% women and close to 60% of registrants aged 25 to 39. There is also a strong 18 to 24 crowd, plus families running the fun run together. These are committed, health-minded runners who train for months and spend on gear, nutrition, recovery and travel. Thousands of friends and supporters line the course and the finish. Talent and Influencers The festival draws runners from across New South Wales and the ACT, from first-timers on the fun run to experienced marathoners chasing a personal best on one of the state’s most scenic courses.
