About this listing
Overview SF Beer Week is ten days of craft beer across the Bay Area every February, hundreds of events put on by the breweries, bars and restaurants themselves, and it kicks off with SF Beer Week Fest on Salesforce Park, the 5.4-acre public park on a rooftop in downtown San Francisco. The Bay Area Brewers Guild produces it; the guild is the nonprofit trade association for the region's independent breweries, of which more than 100 call the Bay Area home. The calendar runs from San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley out to Sonoma, Marin, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, and in 2026 six guild chapters each brewed an official collaboration beer to mark 30 years of IPA. On site In 2026 the Fest drew more than 30 breweries, hosted with Barebottle Brewing. A ticket covers unlimited tastings, live entertainment and a commemorative tasting glass to keep, and VIP tickets add an extended early window with dozens of Beer Week releases pouring in one place. Bands played the park's amphitheater stage and a DJ worked the main plaza. The park stays public during the Fest, so all ages can come in for the views and the free music, and only ticket holders 21 and over drink. If the weather turns, the Fest moves indoors at the same venue. Around it, the rest of the week is a calendar of special releases, tastings and brewery collaborations submitted by participating venues, which opened in 2026 with Trillium Brewing Company at The Crafty Fox Ale House. Audience The Fest mixes drinkers with the trade: brewers pour their own beer, brewery staff eat a sponsored Brewers' Lunch on site, and guild volunteers work the floor. The guild's newsletter, The Brew Deck, reaches about 20,000 subscribers, and its trade network reaches brewery owners and leadership across the region through member events and a Slack community. Brand presence Sponsors are split into two tracks. Trade sponsors get their materials into brewers' hands, packed into every Brewery Host Kit hand-delivered before the week and handed out at Fest check-in, plus a year in the guild's trade partner program. Consumer sponsors get featured event listings at the top of the calendar, a sponsor badge and a logo on the official poster, and can host a table at the Fest. Single placements include one face of the Fest tasting glass, one side of the coaster run sent to taprooms across the Bay, the stage sign, and the brewers' lunch and morning coffee. A sponsor can also take on the guild's executive director, the Advanced Cicerone Sayre Piotrkowski, in Beer vs. Everybody: the sponsor brings anything from wine and sherry to sushi and chocolate, he answers with beers from member breweries, and guests pick the winner.
