About this listing
Overview The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl is Tucson's college football bowl game, and at the 2024 edition the man on the title flipped the coin, called plays on a headset from the Colorado State sideline and conducted both marching bands at halftime. It matches bowl-eligible teams from the Mountain West and the Mid-American Conference on the University of Arizona campus, and the bowl calls itself the only bowl game in the country that gives 100% of net proceeds to nonprofits. The NCAA sanctioned it in March 2015 as the third bowl game staged in Arizona, and Gin and Juice by Dre and Snoop took the title in 2024 after the Nova Home Loans, Offerpad and Barstool Sports years. On site Game day opens with the free Gin and Juice Tailgate Festival on the east mall of the University of Arizona campus, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in 2025: food, beer, cornhole, a DJ, a Gin and Juice House playing hip-hop and a Battle of the Bands between the two schools' marching bands. Its Community Village gathers local nonprofits running activities, and at the game they walk onto the field together in the Raavolution Community Parade. In 2024 one end zone carried a painted black lowrider in front of a desert scene. The week spreads out from there: a downtown pep rally, an afterparty at The Monica, and a free New Year's Eve Bowl Bash in Jacome Plaza, where live music runs until a giant taco drops at midnight and fireworks follow. Audience Two crowds share the week. The traveling fans of a Mountain West program and a MAC program fill the stadium, and Tucson turns out for the free tailgate, the pep rally and the New Year's Eve party. The bowl's Heroes Program sends teachers, active military, front-line workers and first responders to the game, and its Blue Blazers volunteers run drives for local nonprofits through the year. Talent and Influencers Snoop Dogg worked the whole 2024 game. He caught passes from Miami's equipment manager in warmups, stopped at a tailgate, came out of the tunnel for the coin toss in a green-and-gold Arizona Bowl sweatsuit, and went up to the booth to join the TV broadcast, with a Snoop Cam in the corner of the screen during the fourth quarter. At halftime he led both schools' bands through a medley of his songs. After the game he rolled out in a light green lowrider Chevrolet Impala with the trophy in his hand and handed gold chains to the Miami players. Track record Results run from Nevada over Colorado State in 2015 to Fresno State over Miami (OH) 18-3 in 2025. Attendance went from 20,425 at the first game to 40,076 in 2024, the highest on the bowl's own list; the 2020 game was played without fans, and the 2021 game was canceled when Boise State withdrew over a COVID outbreak. CBS carried it from 2017 to 2020, Barstool Sports streamed it in 2022, and The CW aired the 2023, 2024 and 2025 games. The bowl says it has given millions of dollars to more than 70 Southern Arizona nonprofits since 2015. Brand presence Below the title, the week is sold in pieces. In 2025 Taco Bell named the New Year's Eve Bowl Bash, Visit Tucson presented the pep rally, Tucson Federal Credit Union presented the Bowl Bash silent disco and O'Rielly Chevrolet presented the fireworks. Inside the stadium the game is sold by quarter and by moment, down to the coin flip, alongside on-field activations and spots in the national broadcast.
