Overview The Sports Illustrated Invitational is a one-day celebrity team golf tournament on Super Bowl weekend, played in the host city the day before SI The Party: teams of four, 18 holes, and the SI Invitational Cup for the winners, who also direct a benefit to a cause of their choice. The first one, in 2023, opened with a tee ball delivered by drone. It moves with the game: Talking Stick Golf Club outside Phoenix in 2023, TPC Harding Park in San Francisco in 2026. Authentic Live, the events arm of Authentic Brands Group, which owns the Sports Illustrated brand, runs it as part of its Big Game weekend slate. On site The 2023 day started with breakfast and a warmup before an 11 a.m. shotgun start, with about 100 ticketed guests. Contests ran across the course: Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and a blindfolded putting challenge, with local food trucks parked on site. The 2026 edition at Harding Park put 36 teams of four on the course. The day has a VIP lounge with gifting. Talent and Influencers Alice Cooper, Frankie Muniz, Gary Sheffield and Eddie George played the first edition in 2023. In 2026 the field included Cam Skattebo, Sam Hartman, Josh Richards, Matt James and Shareef O'Neal. Track record Sports Illustrated counts more than 7 million social impressions and $9.8 million in advertising value across the 2023, 2024 and 2026 editions. Brand presence In 2023 Wing supplied the drone for the opening tee ball, Brooks Brothers gave custom sports coats for Closest to the Pin, LA Golf handed out putters for the blindfolded putt and Dough Ball Whiskey took Longest Drive. IZOD and Rockport presented the 2026 edition. A presenting partner gets presenting rights, a custom activation, a place in the VIP lounge and gifting, and a foursome in the field; a hole sponsor builds its own hole program, and player packages sell a single foursome.
