Overview The Sports Illustrated Racquet Club is a private club that Sports Illustrated runs for the two weeks of the US Open at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, the ground that hosted 60 editions of the national championships before the tournament left for Flushing Meadows. It is set up as a club rather than a party: athlete-led clinics, chef-driven dining, curated programming and the day's matches followed from the grounds, for the whole fortnight. Authentic Live, the events arm of Authentic Brands Group, which owns the Sports Illustrated brand, set its first residency for August 30 to September 13, 2026. The West Side Tennis Club was founded in 1892 and moved to Forest Hills in 1912, and it hosted the Davis Cup ten times, more than any other venue. On site The club sits on nearly 12 acres, with 38 courts across clay, Har-Tru, grass and hard, a Tudor clubhouse built in 1913 and a 14,000-seat horseshoe stadium from 1923, which reopened as a concert venue in 2013. The clubhouse has a member lounge, a dining terrace and the Breakpoint Bar and Grill beside a junior Olympic pool. The Racquet Club works the grass: clinics and exhibitions on the courts, and a terrace and lounge that overlook them. Audience Authentic pitches the club as a private base during the tournament for partners, talent and VIPs. The listing names athletes, entertainers, brand and agency executives and members' guests, and entry is by credential and invitation. The listing places Forest Hills a short ride from Flushing Meadows, and the club is open on every day of the tournament. Brand presence A brand can put its name on a pro-led clinic or an exhibition, take the terrace and lounge above the grass courts, or run a stringing and demo bar, and each partner gets a custom activation, a hospitality allocation and a place in the marketing and press materials. What is shot on site runs on Sports Illustrated's editorial and social channels.
