Overview The Downtown Summerlin Holiday Parade is a ten-night run, every Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. from late November to the weekend before Christmas, in which floats built around favorite holiday movies roll down Park Centre Drive with nearly 100 local youth performers, falling snow and Santa. It is free and open to everyone. Downtown Summerlin is the retail and dining heart of Summerlin, Howard Hughes' 22,500-acre planned community in the western Las Vegas Valley, home to about 127,000 people in 2023, and the parade is one piece of the district's holiday season. On site The route runs through the district past its shops and restaurants, with music, dancers and characters between the floats and snow coming down over the route. Around it the district runs Rock Rink, a real-ice skating rink under a 40-foot tree near The Pavilion, and Santa's chalet on the Macy's Promenade. In 2025 it added Light Lane, a six-week installation of four futuristic bikes with sound and art from local musicians and artists, built with Clark County. Talent and Influencers The cast is local. BESTAgency fills the parade through open auditions for dancers aged 10 and up in ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop, plus tumblers, contortionists, mimes and puppeteers. Track record The parade has returned every holiday season since at least 2021. The 2024 run used nearly 80 youth performers and the 2025 run nearly 100, over ten nights each season. InTouch Credit Union sponsored the parade in 2024 and 2025. In 2022 the Budweiser Clydesdales made a holiday appearance at the district, and Rock Rink counted more than 36,000 skaters in the 2023 season. Brand presence A float sponsor rides along for all ten parades, with a name call in the voiceover before and after each one. The package runs the sponsor's name through the season's paid media, including radio, the Review-Journal, a mobile billboard, a static billboard on the 215 and the Summerlin app, plus Summerlin's website, social and email, the district's digital pylons and Festival Plaza Drive media board, and signage along the route. One night is the sponsor's own, with reserved seating under heaters, gift bags and 20 Rock Rink passes.
