About this listing
Overview The Super Girl Festival Series stages free weekends of women's sport, music and fitness on public beaches, and at its Oceanside stop more than 100 pro surfers compete in a World Surf League QS 4000 contest for the Super Girl cape. The series stops in Oceanside, California, Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Jacksonville Beach, Florida; Virginia Beach joined in 2026. ASA Entertainment has run it since 2007, and 2026 was its 20th year. ASA, founded in 1994, produces action sports events including the ASA Action Sports World Tour. On site The surf contest runs at the pier, with a separate longboard contest run with the Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club. Around it the series runs women's competitions in sports that across the series include skateboarding, beach volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, flag football, basketball, inline skating, competitive cheer, running, lifeguarding, BMX and esports. A festival village carries fitness classes on the #GOALS Stage, DJ showcases, panel discussions, art installations and food vendors, and the concerts are free. At Oceanside in 2026 more than 750 athletes competed across nine sports. Audience ASA describes the women it builds the series around as confident, independent, active and socially aware, with a passion for community and charity. Pros compete beside the next generation: the series says its contests are designed to mentor and encourage aspiring female pros, and mentorship programs run at the festivals. Talent and Influencers Caroline Marks won the Oceanside contest in 2021, Sawyer Lindblad in 2022, Alyssa Spencer in 2023 and Eden Walla in 2024. In 2026 Ruby Stringfellow became the event's youngest shortboard champion and Alana Johnson won the longboard cape. Sage Erickson won it twice. Iration, Hippie Sabotage, B.o.B and K.Flay headlined the 2026 Oceanside concerts, with 16 more free sets on the SMKFLWR Stage. Brand presence Partners get activation space in high-traffic areas with sampling, display and sales rights, and can own an event element outright, from a branded award presented on the TV show to naming rights on the VIP lounge. Logos go on 25-by-10-foot pier banners, the tower scrim, heat boards and jumbo screens, and 30-second spots run in the TV shows and live webcasts. Retail partners can run 'Lessons from a Super Girl' sweepstakes for clinics with the pros, put product in the surfers' and musicians' gift bags and send a female executive to a leadership panel. Terms and lengths are set deal by deal.
