About this listing
Overview Suwannee Amp Jams is a three-night winter jam, funk and soul festival built around a single stage, the Amphitheater at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, and its first two bills were led by Gov't Mule and then by Grahame Lesh with his father Phil Lesh's longtime bandmates. It revives Bear Creek, the park's old cold-weather funk and jam festival that regulars nicknamed Brrrr Creek. Co-producer Paul Levine put the idea as great music, a great venue, all on one stage. Big Jean Productions runs it. On site The Amphitheater Stage sits in the middle of the park's 800-acre campground, a natural bowl the festival describes as lined with turkey oaks and dogwoods under pines hung with Spanish moss, and every set of the weekend plays there. Headliners play two sets, and artists at large sit in across the bill. Tickets are three-day passes, with add-ons, and the weekend runs a VIP program alongside the general field. Talent and Influencers Gov't Mule, Lettuce and Dumpstaphunk led the first edition in March 2025, with John Scofield, Eric Krasno, Jennifer Hartswick and George Porter Jr. as guests, and the Daze Between Band played a set honoring Porter, the Meters bassist. In 2026 Grahame Lesh led a set with Warren Haynes, Rob Barraco, John Molo and Nels Cline, while Warren Haynes Band and Umphrey's McGee each played twice. The lineup released for 2027 was led by Joe Russo's Almost Dead and Lettuce, two sets each, with Oteil Burbridge as artist at large and the first live show by Common Saints, a new band with Roosevelt Collier, Duane Trucks and Kevin Scott. Track record The first edition ran March 6 to 8, 2025, and the second February 26 to 28, 2026. Live for Live Music named the debut one of the must-attend events of its season, Relix put it in a festival roundup and JamBase covered the setlists. For the third edition the organizers brought in members of the Allman Brothers Band family, from Oteil Burbridge to Peter Levin and Melody Trucks, a nod to the park's former Wanee Festival. Brand presence A beverage partner can have cocktails named for it, pour at co-branded bars, run a sampling tent and put its marks on the service items. Brands can also build a lounge in the VIP or general areas that runs day into night, with seating and charging stations, sponsor an art installation on the grounds, or place product in the VIP and artist hospitality areas with a hospitality menu built around it.
