About this listing
Overview The Tennessee Beer, Wine and Shine Festival is a volunteer-run tasting afternoon on the lawn of Two Rivers Mansion in Nashville, and all of its proceeds go to charities in Donelson and Hermitage - more than $750,000 of them by the festival's count. It runs once a year, on the third Saturday in October: beer from local, regional, national and import breweries, wine, whiskey and Tennessee moonshine, poured into a commemorative tasting glass. The festival is a 501(c)(3). The mansion, which the festival calls one of the earliest and best preserved Italianate houses in Middle Tennessee, sits on a 14-acre tract on the National Register of Historic Places. On site The 2026 festival ran noon to 5 p.m. with 34 breweries pouring 3-ounce samples, 2-ounce pours of high-gravity beer and 1-ounce pours of wine and shine, and a Bourbon Row added that year. Hypnotoad played, big screens carried the college football, and food came from vendors including Cousins Maine Lobster, Roscoe's Smoked BBQ and The Mac Shack. Guests carry their glass around the shaded grounds, and the festival also carries artisan booths. Parking is free and there is no re-entry. Audience It is a 21-and-over afternoon on an October college football Saturday. A non-drinking designated-driver ticket is sold, and VIP tickets add early entry, a larger glass and a cigar. The ticket carries into an official after-party; in 2026 it was at the Nashville Palace, with free appetizers for festival ticket holders. Track record The festival started in 2010 as the Tennessee Beer Festival, added wine in 2015, and ran the 16th annual festival in 2026. After the 2023 edition it gave nearly $65,000 to fifteen Donelson and Hermitage charities. Past recipients include Two Rivers Mansion, the Exchange Family Center, Fifty Forward Donelson Station, the Donelson Gateway Project, Buchanan Log Home, Holy Rosary Academy, VFW Donelson, American Legion Post 88 and Wags and Walks. Brand presence Up to three presenting sponsors carry the "presenting sponsor" name and get a tent and table at the event, with their logo on the festival banner, yard signs, every promotional piece and every media spot. Four Corporate Toastmasters add a company tent and a banner at the entrance, and Brewmaster sponsors get tent space of their own. Sponsors are asked to bring employees to work the day alongside the volunteers. Hornitos and Jim Beam poured the cocktails at the 2026 after-party.
