Overview The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican is an Official LPGA Tour event and the only professional women's tour stop in the Tampa Bay area. It runs every November. The top 108 LPGA Tour players play 72 holes of stroke play over four days at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, and the days before the first round hold two pro-ams, a Women's Leadership Summit and a Tuesday-night party and concert. The event carries Annika Sörenstam's name, and her foundation is its main charitable beneficiary. On site Gates open at 6:45am on public days, Wednesday through Sunday. Crowds line the ropes along the fairways, and a long white clubhouse sits across the pond from the 18th green. Hospitality runs from the clubhouse out to the 9th and 12th greens, the 12th a signature par 3, and on to an open-air deck of shaded tables under pink umbrellas at the 18th green, looking over the pond. Wednesday is Veterans Day, and Thursday morning holds a Veterans Day celebration; military and first responders get in free. On Saturday afternoon Sörenstam runs the Junior Golf Show on the range for more than 300 young golfers. The trophy goes out on the 18th green after Sunday's final round. Audience Executives in technology, healthcare, retail and finance are among the guests each year. Pro-am amateurs play the tournament course in threes with an LPGA professional. The Tuesday summit brings women from many industries together to talk about careers and women in the workplace. Children 17 and under come in free with a ticketed adult. Talent and Influencers Sörenstam won 72 LPGA Tour events and 10 majors. She is the only woman to break 60 in an official event. Past champions: Sei Young Kim (2020), Nelly Korda (2021, 2022, 2024), Lilia Vu (2023), Linn Grant (2025). World No. 1 Nelly Korda was among the first players to commit for 2026. Caitlin Clark and Kathy Ireland have spoken at the summit, and Pitbull, Flo Rida, Goo Goo Dolls, Train and Fitz and the Tantrums have played the Pelican Celebration. No 2026 summit speaker or concert act has been announced. Track record The tournament began in 2020 as the Pelican Women's Championship and took its current name in 2023, so 2026 is the seventh edition. LPGA Tour players voted Pelican the 2025 Host Club of the Year. The course is a Donald Ross design that Beau Welling reworked in 2018, and it hosted The Match 7.0 in 2022. Rounds air on Golf Channel and CNBC. For 2026 the tournament is working toward GEO Certified status as a sustainable golf event. Brand presence Gainbridge is the title partner. Presenting and naming rights attach to specific parts of the week, from the pro-ams and the summit to the fan area and the clubhouse hospitality clubs. Each package is built individually and folded into the tournament's own marketing plan, and partners may use its marks. The 18th-green deck is kept for official partners and above. In 2025 Gainbridge ambassadors played the Wednesday pro-am in golf shoes designed by nine BayCare youth patients.
