Overview The Florida Man Games is a live team competition built out of Florida Man headlines: teams run an Evading Arrest Obstacle Course with actual cops on it, find a frozen iguana, chuck a gator through a drive-thru window, and open the Hurricane Party Prep Grocery Aisle Brawl with a shopping-cart joust. Its own line is live the headlines, without the jail time. Teams play for Florida cities - in 2026 Bradenton, Pinellas, Orlando, Duval, Tampa and Daytona, each under a general manager - and the winners take the championship belt. Pete Melfi of the Florida media outlet The 904 Now started it in 2024. On site The 2026 Games ran over two days at the Freedom Factory in Bradenton, from 4 to 10 p.m. on the Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the Saturday. The event card changes every year; past rounds have included Beer Belly Florida Sumo, a Weaponized Pool Noodle Mud Duel, the Category 5 Cash Grab, a mullet competition, lawnmower racing, Human Beer Pong and alligator shows, with pro wrestling between rounds. In 2026 Wicks emceed, Dan "Nitro" Clark and Lori "Ice" Fetrick of Netflix's Muscles and Mayhem judged, and Super Troopers' Steve Lemme and Kevin Heffernan ran the post-match interrogations. The TFMG+ app carries tickets, a live leaderboard and a fantasy league mode. Audience The Games describe their crowd as people drawn to chaos, competition and comedy who treat Florida Man as both a punchline and a badge of honor, and who come once a year for freedom, horsepower and good times in the sun. Photos from the Games show them packed along the arena rails in cowboy boots and ball caps. Talent and Influencers Team Hanky Spanky won the first Games in 2024 and took the belt and $5,000. In 2025 every team had to field a woman, and an all-women team, the Ball Busters, entered. Cleetus McFarland was general manager of the Bradenton team, Team Freedom Factory, which won in 2026, on a day Steve Lemme also competed. Track record The first Games ran on February 24, 2024 on Francis Field in downtown St. Augustine and sold out, with more than 5,000 people there. The second moved to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton on March 1, 2025, and the third to Bradenton in February 2026.
