About this listing
Overview The Winter Show is a ten-day fair of art, antiques and design at the Park Avenue Armory covering 5,000 years of material, from Egyptian antiquities to American folk art and postwar Italian glass, and all proceeds from its ticketed events go to East Side House Settlement, the Bronx charity that owns it. More than 70 dealers showed in 2026. Founded in 1954, it calls itself the longest-running U.S. fair devoted to fine art, antiques and design, and the 2026 edition was its 72nd. East Side House runs education and workforce programs for more than 15,000 people a year in the Bronx and Northern Manhattan. On site In 2026 the objects on the stands ran from Robert Henri's Celestine of 1920 and a Tiffany and Co. mantel clock of about 1885 to Massimiliano Pelletti's La Grotta, made in 2025. The show also mounts its own exhibitions: in 2026, Study of a Young Collector, curated by Patrick Monahan and Helen Allen from 12 dealers showing for the first time, and The American Chair: 250 Years of Form. In Dialogue panels on subjects such as ceramics, conservation and American vernacular design are included with admission, and the Expert Eye series, exhibitor talks and private tours run through the ten days. Audience Two evenings are built for two different sets of buyers: the Opening Night Preview on the Thursday before the doors open to the public, and Young Collectors Night a week later. The dealer list turns over slowly: A La Vieille Russie, Ralph M. Chait Galleries and Joan B Mirviss had each shown for more than 40 years by 2026 - and they showed beside first-time exhibitors such as Galerie Cahn, Greg Pepin Silver and Rose Uniacke. Talent and Influencers A Design Council of interior designers and editors co-chairs the show each year; in 2026 it was Noz Nozawa, Ben Pentreath, Jane Keltner de Valle and Giancarlo Valle. Brand presence Sponsorship is sold by occasion. A presenting or lead sponsor runs across the show's print and digital advertising and its catalog. Below that, a brand can take one occasion: the Opening Night Gala, Young Collectors Night, the Jewelry Brunch, the VIP luncheons, the Insiders Preview Breakfast, the Expert Eye series or the program of talks. Sponsors host private tours and receptions for their own clients inside the show, and a media sponsor can present a panel during the fair.
