The Veradigm Tobacco Road Marathon and VHB Half Marathon are North Carolina’s premier distance races, held annually in Cary, NC. Both events are official Boston Marathon qualifiers with an exceptional 15–20% BQ rate, attracting runners from across the U.S. and internationally. Founded in 2010, the Tobacco Road Marathon has generated over $1.8 million in charitable donations for local nonprofits and remains one of the Southeast’s most respected community race weekends. More than 4,000 runners and 700 volunteers take part each year, supported by leading partners including Sysco, Veradigm, UNC Health, Sunkist, and YMCA.
