Overview Under the Big Sky is a three-day outlaw country, Americana and bluegrass festival on Big Mountain Ranch outside Whitefish, Montana, where Chris Stapleton, Cody Jinks and Zach Top headlined in 2026 and the Hogslop String Band had played every edition from the first in 2019 through that year. It runs each July in the Flathead Valley, about 20 minutes from Glacier Park International Airport. Outriders Present produces it. On site Gates open at noon and the music runs to 11 p.m. each day, with no re-entry on the same day. The site is cashless, water refill stations with multiple spigots are free, and a general store stocks anything people need. There is no camping on the ranch, so the festival publishes a lodging list and runs free shuttles in from Whitefish Mountain Resort, Depot Park in downtown Whitefish and Columbia Falls, plus a paid one from Kalispell; parking in the two lots off Voerman Road and Edgewood Drive is free. VIP is 21 and over, with its own areas, parking, restrooms and bars. After dark the after-parties run at the Great Northern Bar and Grill, The Remington and Majestic Valley Arena. Talent and Influencers The 2026 bill ran to more than 40 acts across outlaw country, indie rock, bluegrass and folk: Marcus King Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Of Monsters and Men, Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen, Charles Wesley Godwin, Greensky Bluegrass, Jamestown Revival and Leftover Salmon under the headliners. The festival fills out the day with Montana acts, from Flathead Valley's Archertown, Hannah King, Radio Ranch and Tomara to Blue Point out of Missoula and Madeline Hawthorne from Bozeman. Brand presence Thirteen brands carried through to the festival's own site for 2026. The festival sells partnerships as custom activations built on the grounds, with hospitality, influencer content and custom content around them, per the listing.
