Overview The Urban Arts Festival is a free one-day street-art festival at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City, where more than a dozen muralists and graffiti artists paint live from noon to 10 p.m. while two stages run music from hip hop to blues. The Utah Arts Alliance, a Utah nonprofit, produces it and bills it as Utah's largest free art festival. On site The 2026 festival ran on Saturday, August 22. The Artist Marketplace carried more than 90 local creators selling one-of-a-kind work, under a rule that bars art wholly or partly generated by AI. Custom lowriders, hoppers and bikes lined up for a car and bike exhibit, dancers, drag artists and other performers worked scheduled slots, and local art installations went up around the ballpark. The music ran on the KUAA Stage and the Dreamscapes Stage. Track record The festival's Skate Deck Show, an exhibition of artist-painted skateboard decks at the Alliance's Urban Arts Gallery with five prizes, reached its 15th year in 2026. Brand presence The festival sells a presenting sponsorship, stage sponsorships and a program sponsorship, and smaller businesses can join as friends of the festival. In 2026 one of the two stages carried the name of Dreamscapes, the Alliance's own immersive-art project.
