About this listing
Overview USA SailGP Yacht Chartering puts a private group on a chartered yacht out on New York Harbor for the Sail Grand Prix, watching the F50 catamarans foil past the Statue of Liberty at more than 60 miles an hour from the water rather than the shore. FanCapital, which represents the U.S. SailGP Team, sells the charters for the New York race weekend, the team's home event. SailGP races national teams in identical league-built boats; New York was on the first calendar in 2019 and came back to it in 2023. On site In 2026 racing started at 3:30 p.m. on both days, seven fleet races and then a three-boat final, on a course that runs up the Hudson with the Lower Manhattan skyline behind it. SailGP's own on-water tickets for New York in 2026 boarded at Pier 36, Pier 81 and Chelsea Piers, and the top tier sat inside the exclusion zone at the edge of the course with live commentary and a DJ after racing. A charter puts a private group on that water with a boat to itself. Team CEO Mike Buckley calls the Hudson a spectacular course when the sea breeze fills in and warns of light wind and strong currents when it does not, and in light air the boats switch to their larger wings. Talent and Influencers The U.S. crew makes New York its home race, and board member DJ Khaled gave away premium hospitality passes for the 2025 edition. Race week in 2026 brought SAINt JHN, K Camp, Ryan Serhant, Breanna Stewart and Kayvon Thibodeaux to the waterfront, and Serhant and Stewart each went out on an F50 as the sixth sailor. Track record New Zealand won New York in 2024, beating Canada and Great Britain in the final. In 2026 Australia's Bonds Flying Roos won it for their fourth event of the season, over Great Britain and Canada. Brand presence The listing puts the yachts on the racecourse with five-star dining, premium drinks and dedicated service aboard. The team already hosts this way for its own partners: at the 2025 New York race Barton and Gray began supplying Daychaser 48 yachts flying the team's logo, so partners and stakeholders could watch practice and racing from the water.
