About this listing
Overview The Venice Fest closes four blocks of Venice Boulevard in Mar Vista for a free street festival, and by its own count more than 400 artists, brands and designers set up along the road, some new each time and some returning. It runs three times a year, each a single day: Venice Love Fest in March, Venice Summer Fest in June and Venice Winter Fest late in the year. Admission is free, all ages are welcome and so are dogs. Venice Blvd Productions produces it. On site Live music runs on three stages. Between them the boulevard fills with vendor booths, food trucks and local food and drink, artists working in front of the crowd and hands-on art workshops open to every age. The festival sums up the day as shop, eat, drink, play, dance. A beer garden sits on the route, and brands can take a 10-by-10 space inside it. Parking is free on the side streets, and the festival steers people toward rideshare. Audience The festival describes its crowd as Westside locals, with influencers, press, artists and other creatives among them. It frames the whole day around small businesses, and between festivals it runs a Sunday Social Market where local sellers rent indoor tables. Brand presence Partners build their own branded environments on the boulevard for retail, sampling and gifting, from a 10-by-10 in the beer garden up to a 10-by-20 company activation. Named partner positions run on the main stage, in Playtime Paradise, the family zone, in a yoga and wellness area and on a local restaurant menu. Safe Place for Youth and Nourish LA are the festival's nonprofit partners.
