About this listing
Overview We Belong Here Miami is the festival's original edition, three days of dance music on the sand at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park, where the series began in February 2022 and where Tiësto and Lane 8 each played a three-hour sunset set in 2026. That fifth-anniversary edition was the first to run three days, with daily attendance held to the 2025 cap. The park opened in 1945 as Miami-Dade County's "Colored Only" beach, closed in 1982, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and reopened in 2008. On site The site has direct beach access, greenery and ocean views. Three stages run at once: the 360 Stage, with the DJ in the middle of the floor, the Beach Stage and a secluded Lost Village. For 2026 the Beach Stage moved into a bigger space under a heart-shaped disco ball, the Lost Village got new metallic surfaces and artwork, and the Smorgasburg food plaza moved and grew. Murals, live painting, henna and UV body-paint stations ran across the grounds. In 2026 shuttles ran from pickup points around Miami to cut traffic on Key Biscayne. Audience The event is strictly 21 and over. The festival picked its 2026 headliners from requests by its own community, mixing returning favorites with new names. Talent and Influencers The 2026 bill ran more than 50 artists. Beyond the two sunset sets, Kaskade played a two-hour Redux set, Elderbrook played a DJ set, and Chris Lake, Gorgon City, Lost Frequencies, Kevin de Vries and Bakermat, with a live saxophone at sunset, filled out the top of the weekend. Track record Justin Dauman and Charles Hochfelder conceived We Belong Here in Miami in 2021, and the park has been the Miami edition's home since the first festival in 2022. In 2026 heavy rain on the Sunday flooded parts of the dance floor and pushed doors back to 5 p.m. In Miami, ticket money funds K-12 music education through a partnership with the University of Miami Frost School of Music. Brand presence A partner holds presenting rights to a stage, the Beach Stage in the festival's own Miami package, and designs it with the festival's team. It also runs a bar or sampling station on the grounds, gifts product to artists in the green rooms and lounges, and gets an influencer campaign around the weekend.
