Overview Welcome to Rockville is a four-day rock and metal festival inside Daytona International Speedway, with five stages, campgrounds in the Speedway lots and a crowd that went from 8,000 at its 2011 debut in Jacksonville to 230,000 in 2025. The festival calls itself the World Center of Rock. Ozzy Osbourne, Tool, Linkin Park, Green Day, Slipknot, Foo Fighters and Deftones have all played it. Danny Wimmer Presents, which describes itself as one of the largest independent festival producers in the U.S., puts it on alongside Louder Than Life, Aftershock and Sonic Temple. On site The stages are Apex, Octane, Vortex, Inferno and Garage, and the grounds have their own Ferris wheel. Campers take the Orange, Purple, Yellow and Red lots or a reserved Driver/Owner lot for five nights, with showers and water stations included and a campground pre-party the Wednesday before the music. Gates usually open between 11 a.m. and noon. The site is cashless, on RFID wristbands and tap-to-pay, with free water refill stations. VIP adds shaded lounges, its own bars and air-conditioned restrooms; the Daytona Owners Club adds a private air-conditioned lounge, a hosted bar and all-inclusive food and drink. Soberville runs three recovery meetings a day for fans spending the festival sober. Audience Fans come from all 50 states and more than 35 countries. Re-entry is limited to campers and hotel-package guests, so a day-pass holder who walks in stays in. The gates are all ages, and the festival warns that the environment is adult. Talent and Influencers Godsmack headlined the first edition in 2011, with Stone Sour and Seether. Kiss, Korn and Guns N' Roses topped 2022, when severe weather canceled several sets, Korn's and Guns N' Roses' among them, and Nine Inch Nails took the Foo Fighters' Sunday slot. Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera and Tool headlined 2023; Mötley Crüe, Limp Bizkit, Foo Fighters and Slipknot 2024; Shinedown, Green Day, Linkin Park and Korn 2025; and Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon and My Chemical Romance 2026. The festival grew from one day to two in 2013, three in 2018 and four in 2021, the year it left Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville for the Speedway after the 2020 edition was canceled for COVID-19. Danny Wimmer Presents puts each edition's reach at more than 75 million media impressions and 100 million social impressions. Brand presence Partners get a 10-by-10 activation space on the grounds, sampling in set windows, logos on the stage screens, in the festival app and across print and digital materials, branded contests and a ticket bank, and they can use the festival's marks in their own promotion.
