About this listing
Overview Westlight and Turf Club are the top two floors of The William Vale hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn: a 22nd-floor bar ringed in floor-to-ceiling glass, and above it an open-air roof with an unobstructed 180-degree view of the five boroughs. Both are booked as private event space, from a patio to the full roof. NoHo Hospitality Group runs them and caters every event. Chef Andrew Carmellini formed the group with Josh Pickard and Luke Ostrom in 2009, and its restaurants include Locanda Verde, The Dutch and Lafayette. On site Westlight's windows wrap a central bar and lounge. The floor is black-and-white tile, the banquettes are soft gray with yellow accents, and the bar is honed stone under brass and metal mesh shelving. Seating is a mix of lounge chairs and high-tops, and an outdoor terrace runs around the outside of the room. Westlight holds 90 to 110 guests for a private event. The Turf Club roof on the 23rd floor holds up to 240. Food and drink come from the NoHo kitchen as passed appetizers, seated dinners, family-style service and bar packages. The hotel has no in-house speakers, microphones or projectors, so AV comes in with the event. Brand presence Space is sold as buyouts: all of Westlight on a weekday or a weekend night, a semi-private buyout of its patio, or the whole Turf Club roof.
