Overview Wing and Rock Fest is a free, two-day chicken wing festival at Etowah River Park in Canton, Georgia, where more than 25 restaurants and food trucks sell over 75 flavors of wings while a stage of tribute bands plays. The festival bills itself as the largest free chicken wing festival in the U.S.A. and the second largest of any kind, after the National Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival. Armus Media Group produces it each March, and the festival's own FAQ counts about 50,000 wings eaten over a weekend. On site Every wing vendor sells at the same market price, paid at its own booth by card or cash. Judges hand out awards for Best Buffalo Wing Sauce and Best Overall Wing on Sunday afternoon, followed by a People's Choice award from the crowd. The park also holds an arts and crafts market, a farmers market and a kid zone with bounce houses, rides, face painting and henna. Beer and liquor are sold to guests 21 and over with ID and a wristband, and outside drinks and coolers stay out. People bring chairs and blankets, and the festival runs rain or shine. Talent and Influencers The stage runs on tribute acts and local School of Rock bands. In 2026 School of Rock West Cobb and School of Rock Woodstock opened the two days, followed by M.E.R.M.E.R. playing R.E.M., Ozzy Crue, ATL Crue playing Motley Crue, TORN playing Creed, Can't Drive 55 playing Sammy Hagar and Born Ready, with Velcro Pygmies closing Sunday. The wing-eating contest, sponsored by Anchor Bar's Kennesaw location, runs on the same stage each afternoon: the first 12 amateurs to sign up get fifteen sauced wings and one minute, and anyone who clears them gets ten more. Track record The Best Wing results go back to 2015. In 2025 Anchor Bar won Best Overall Wing and Finger Licking won the sauce award; in 2026 Finger Licking took Best Overall Wing, Ponko Chicken took Best Buffalo Wing Sauce and Findley Roofing won People's Choice.
