Overview The Winter Park Autumn Art Festival is the only juried fine art festival that shows Florida artists exclusively. The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce hosts it every fall in Central Park and along historic Park Avenue, where artist tents line the brick street under the oaks for a full weekend. Admission is free, so the festival draws both serious collectors and whole families from across Central Florida. On site Artists show original work in painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, photography, fibers, digital art and mixed media, competing for Best of Show and a set of cash awards judged on Saturday. Local bands and school ensembles play the Central Park stage, a beer garden sits in front of it, and there are children's art activities and food vendors. Patrons and VIPs get a VIP Lounge with catered lunches and premium pours, plus a poster unveiling party, a patrons dinner and a Saturday night artists' party. Sponsors can take a booth on the avenue, banners, stage announcements, ads in the printed festival guide, the VIP Lounge or its luncheon, the stage, or the patrons dinner. Audience The chamber pitches the festival to sponsors as a way to reach affluent patrons, and the crowd matches: Winter Park residents, art buyers, Rollins College families and day-trippers from Orlando and the surrounding counties. Artists, art lovers and community members make up the core, with plenty of families and dog walkers on the avenue since the event is free and outdoors. Talent and Influencers The artists are the draw. Every exhibitor lives in Florida, the field is juried, and returning award winners from the prior show are invited back. Each festival commissions an official poster artist whose painting is sold as posters and note cards and signed at the HQ tent. The stage features local bands, jazz ensembles and choirs. Track record The festival began on the Rollins College campus and has run for more than half a century, now on the second weekend in November. It is one of the Winter Park Chamber's signature events, with regular coverage from the Orlando Sentinel, Central Florida Public Media and local outlets, and the chamber brings in cash awards for artists every year. Park Avenue closes to traffic for the weekend and nearby shops and restaurants spill onto the street. Brand presence KW Winter Park is the presenting sponsor on the chamber's festival pages.
